Brief History

Rated No. 1 in the most favorite students of employers among all MBA programs in Taiwan for three consecutive years by Cheers.

Established in 1964, aiming to cultivate professional managers with an omni perspective, an equal emphasis of theory and practice has always been the teaching objective of the MBA Program since it was established 47 years ago in 1964.

For this reason, a wide variety of leadership features and strengths have been formed exclusive in the MBA Program upon a solid foundation developed over the years.

History:

At the beginning of 1964, NCCU and the University of Michigan signed a collaboration agreement under which NCCU founded the Department of Public Administration and the Department and Graduate Institute of Business Administration.

The NCCU Graduate Institute of Business Administration then became the first of its kind in Taiwan to train postgraduate management talents. Today, apart from fostering many management mainstays in different parts of society, the MBA Program offers a wide variety of on-the-job further education programs to provide more opportunities for working people to enrich their management knowledge.

Under the leadership of chairpersons over time, including professors Bi-li Yang, Paul Shi-chun Hsu, Shuei-shen Liu, Dah-hsian Seetoo, Shyh-bao Lai, Chwo-min Yu, Shun-ching Horn, Yung-chien Lou, Lien-ti Bei, Geng-sheng Kuo, Wei-chi Tsai, Tzu-hsiang Han, Jia-chi Huang, and Lei-yu Wu, the GIBA has offered the EMBA Program, State-Owned Business Administration Program, Global Technology Business Operations and Administration Program, and various further education programs to provide businesspersons with more opportunities to further their education.

Students of these programs also exchange opinions with master’s students to integrate academic theories with practical applications. Over the years, outstanding alumni in different trades are the most connected and richest assets of the GIBA.

Under the department and institute integration policy of the Ministry of Education launched in 1996, GIBA was merged with the Department of Business Administration to become the MBA Program. Based on the solid foundation developed over the years, we have become the leader in business administration education
